Description
Native to temperate climates, this shrub is found growing wild in Europe and North America. One of the best cleansing herbs, the root was traditionally used by Native Americans and in European folk medicine for infections, liver and stomach ailments and as a general tonic during convalescence.
We have had great success using it to balance blood sugar naturally. Barberry is naturally high in berberine which is a key phytonutrient used for cardiovascular support and blood sugar balance.
